Tanya Bunting Hypnotherapy and NLP

  • Working with Tanya has helped me to significantly reduce my antidepressant pills. The combination of NLP techniques and hypnotherapy techniques have helped me to build confidence and be much more assertive, especially within the context of meetings and dealing with stress at work. I am now more aware of my feelings and can control negative thoughts.

  • Although I have progressed up the career ladder over the years I have always struggled with speaking publicly, particularly in important meetings. I had the privilege to work with Tanya using NLP techniques, which made these situations, not only manageable but feel second nature- instead of feeling physically sick and shaking uncontrollably I was able to deliver confidently.  Tanya used anchors and hypnotherapy to reinforce my true ability to communicate in other situations, so I could tap into this at crucial times. After an NLP session with Tanya, I was able to confidently present an inset, as well as present to school governors. Not only did I feel empowered, but other colleagues commented made. I was amazed at the difference one session made to me and can't thank Tanya enough for the difference it has made.

  • Before working with Tanya I had suffered from agoraphobia for 6 years. The 6 years prior to that, I had been living with generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder. It has been a very tough 12 years and I was close to giving up if I'm honest. Agoraphobia is truly awful, it takes away your freedom, isolates you and leaves you with little to no hope for your future. However, since working with Tanya I have found that I am incredibly hopeful for the future! I feel really positive and absolutely determined to beat these conditions once and for all! I am not cured yet but I have made a lot of progress and I now KNOW I will get there. This is a huge positive turning point in my life. I would highly recommend going to see Tanya if you are struggling. She makes you feel instantly at ease and gives you the tools you need to get back in the driving seat of your own life. That's where I am now, buckled in and 100% ready to make some serious changes for the better!

  • When I found out I was pregnant, I decided to try and prepare for the birth of my baby by doing a hypnotherapy for birthing course. I had heard some really positive stories and was open minded to find out more. Tanya was my birthing coach and she coached me how to enter a trance like relaxed state, believe and trust in my body’s ability to grow my baby and give birth and to view birth as a positive rather than painful experience. Throughout my pregnancy, my friends and family were amazed how calm and relaxed I was and I believe this was due to all the hypno- relaxation techniques I did daily. I found not only did the relaxation techniques help me have a peaceful sleep every night but also gave me skills that helped manage stress with my work too. When my waters broke at home I was able to remain extremely calm and relaxed and breathe through my surges. I got to 7cm at home on my own before I called the midwife to see if I was ready to go into hospital. I was so relaxed on the phone that the midwife did not think I was anywhere near ready until she examined me! When I got to the birthing suite at the hospital I went in the water and listened to my hypnomusic. My mum and husband both said I immediately seemed to go into a trance like state and was actually falling asleep between contractions! My birthing partners who both attended the course with me were able to help me focus on my breathing and support me all the way through using lots of strategies we learnt such as positive birth affirmations and touch. I was able to give birth to my baby girl without any drugs and she came into the world extremely calm without crying and has been a chilled, happy baby since. I view my birth as a positive experience where I had ‘surges’ not contractions, ‘pressure’ not pain and I felt confident. I completely trusted my body and baby to know what to do and relaxed and let my body take over whilst taking my mind somewhere else. I would recommend Trance-Forming Childbirth and Tanya as a birthing coach to any expectant mother. I am so happy that Tanya was a part of my daughter’s journey and will be forever grateful for the skills she has taught me.

  • My son has suffered from depersonalisation since September 2017. We tried various ways to try and help him, we started at the doctors, with no help I decided to go to a private psychologist. After a few sessions, we understood why Charlie felt the way he did but had no solution how to help him. We also tried acupuncture. Neither did that really help. Then we met Tanya. Since then Charlie has been seeing Tanya Bunting, he has felt so much more positive. Charlie’s feels like its the first time someone outside the family actually cares and wants to help him. Tanya has made the time to help Charlie learn various techniques and strategies to help to control his anxiety and depersonalisation. Also knowing it will not last forever with what Charlie has learnt from Tanya’s strategies. With Tanya’s support, Charlie is now feeling better each day and much happier within himself!

  • There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing my experience with Tanya was. She is an intelligent, highly professional and wonderfully positive person who helped me massively with getting my wisdom tooth removed. When going to book my appointment, I was so scared that I was crying and shaking at the thought of it. I have been terrified of needles and any surgical procedures for a long time and often get quite faint and light-headed when in these situations. After my first session with Tanya, I instantly felt calmer and more positive. She even provided me with a personalised trance recording to listen to at home in the week leading up to the procedure. I even found that I could use the skills she taught me to help through stressful moments in my life. On the actual day, she came with me to the appointment and reminded me of how to stay positive and relaxed throughout. In a situation that would normally prompt tears, I ended up smiling and laughing the whole way through. I walked out with my head held high and didn’t even feel slightly faint. I feel so strong and positive now and know I will be able to use the skills she has taught me to cope with other difficult situations I might face. Tanya is a wonderful person who cares about her clients and will make sure you have the tools you need to succeed.

  • I strongly recommend Tanya Bunting Coaching for anyone who is applying for a teaching interview or a new job. After being unsuccessful at interview, my confidence was knocked. I worried that I might never get a teaching job. After working with Tanya who coached me through the entire process from lesson preparation, to delivery and formal interview, I left feeling confident and ready to take on my next interview. Throughout the interview day, I felt calm and confident as I undertook the various tasks including a lesson observation, planning task, marking and the formal interview. I was the last one to interview and they called me sooner after I got into my car to leave. I was really excited to let Tanya know that I’d accepted the job.

  • Prior to meeting Tanya and enlisting her help I was demotivated, full of anxieties, lacking in confidence and generally not enjoying life. After working on these areas and historical life experiences I feel more alive and with a zest for life and living again.  Having always been in control, confident and facing life with energy, taking time to reassess how I wanted my life to progress has been a revelatory experience for me. I would highly recommend Tanya to you.  Her abilities are abundantly clear and I feel proud to have received her undoubted skills in helping me back on the road to fulfilling my potential whilst on this earth!!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  • We have had several sessions with Tanya to help my 5 year old control a vocal tic; my daughter is usually slow to warm up to new people but took to Tanya right away and talks about her constantly. Tanya is warm yet professional and really knows how to relate to children. She even watched some of my daughter's favorite shows to help build rapport and weave the characters into method of control for the tic. My little one is already looking forward to seeing her again.

  • Before working with Tanya I felt overwhelmed and alone. Since working with her I feel that a weight was instantly lifted. Knowing that there was the potential to stop feeling how I was. I have already been able to deal with some issues much better than I could ever have imagined and am hoping to gain even more control over how I handle the voices in my head and the words that come out of my mouth. I honestly can't thank you enough for everything you have already done for me. xx

  • Tanya has helped our 12 year old daughter immensely. In just one session, she resolved my daughter’s growing anxiety about being outside and returning to school post-lockdown without panic and fear. The bespoke trance Tanya created for her reinforces the strategies and ‘mind hacks’, tops up the feel-good endorphins and is delivered in a soothing, positive voice. This not only helps her get to sleep without worries but she wakes up the next morning resolved and prepared for the day, and it’s challenges, ahead.  I totally recommend Tanya - she has a lovely, warm approach which is instantly reassuring.  Her aim was to help my daughter shine - well that’s exactly what she did!

  • Before I worked with Tanya I would let my  intrusive thoughts and ocd control my thoughts and therfore my actions. Anxiety levels would increase to such a point that my feelings would manifest themselves as shakes, sweating and tense muscles. So much so it has stopped me from going for jobs as I always think the worse and get myself worked up.
Having done a few sessions with Tanya, she has explained to me how the brain responds to these feelings. Through discussion we were able to come up with trances and strategies to combat this. For me, this is an ongoing process as many of my anxieties are deeply ingrained in my thoughts but the trances offer me respite and a go to when I feel overwhelmed. Lately, I have overcome one of my anxieties of starting work in a new environment and this I attribute to working with Tanya.
For me, the best thing working with Tanya was she understood many of the anxieties I was experiencing having also worked in the teaching profession. She demonstrated compassion and knowledge of my predicament which in turn allowed me to open up more and therefore help with my problems. Like many people, we believe our anxieties are unique to us but Tanya was able to explain clearly how this is all linked to how the brain processes our thoughts and fears. So much so, I have spent time reading around trance therapy to inform me better about the process.
If you're thinking that you need help with dealing with your anxieties and ocd then Tanya would be a good place to start to allow you to feel more positive about facing up to those parts of your life that are holding you back. Good luck on your journey!

  • As Primary School Teacher with over 7 years of teaching experience, I naively thought I was past the days of feeling nervous about getting a new job / teaching role. However, it wasn’t until I was approaching the end of my Maternity Leave and having relocated during that time, I was suddenly having to start thinking about putting myself out there. This soon became very real. A year out of the job, a year out of touch with schools, a year of being a first-time mum instead of an ‘experienced teacher’, a year wonderfully invested in my child but a year where ‘baby brain’ certainly became a thing! My confidence definitely wasn’t the same any more so after a recommendation from a friend, I decided to read ‘Get the Teaching Job You Want’ by Tanya Bunting in the hope that it could help. It is easy to think that a book like this could be more appropriate for new teaches or NQTs, however, that is absolutely not the case! Upon reading, it was clear that Tanya had truly put her heart and soul into the book; it oozed so much experience and knowledge. The best part is that it doesn’t just apply to purely Teaching but wider life in general. The skills taught throughout are extremely transferable. It also encourages you to work on yourself as a person; something we could all benefit from doing to help improve our own mentality and self-esteem. Some of the thought-provoking questions really had me thinking about what my visions truly were and provided ways to help enlighten me to search deeper. It is easy for life to race by and for you to just float along on the surface of it all but this book made me really stand back and think. The real-life scenarios are great to read too. They are all so relatable and it’s nice to feel like you’re not alone, whether you’re experienced or not, they are all-natural feelings and emotions. The final quote at the end is spot on: “Don’t close the book and leave the learning behind. Realise that it’s only the beginning of what you are going to do with the rest of your life.” It is true, we are always learning, and this book absolutely teaches you so many lessons and skills that can be applied to life in an abundance of ways. I highly recommend reading this book, it is powerful. JL [Teacher]

  • I loved Tanya Bunting’s book ‘Get The Teaching Job You Want’. The advice and opinions from both sides of the interview panel have been invaluable to me, even as an experienced teacher. I particularly enjoyed the practical exercises, such as the anchor, which have increased my confidence so much and are easy to remember and refer back to.
I am currently re-reading the book, as the first chapter, which encourages you to really pinpoint what your dream school is like, is a game-changer for me. This chapter in particular has helped me to avoid over-applying for jobs which actually may not be right for me. Now, when I see a job that I genuinely want, I know that I have the tools and self-confidence to view the interview process in an entirely different and much more positive light.
Another aspect of the book that I really enjoyed was the range of activities, for example, one suggestion is to watch a short, fascinating TED talk from an outstanding speaker about the non-verbal cues we give to others. Before an important meeting, I now take time to use a power pose beforehand and can feel the difference in the way I sit and present myself to others.
The trance which compliments the book is also brilliant and really helps to consolidate what you have learnt from the exercises. My confidence has definitely increased since reading this book - thank you Tanya!
